Reindeer Lodge, also known as Kelly Basin Camp, is a fishermen’s hut situated on the shore of Kelly Basin in Macquarie Harbour on Tasmania’s west coast.  During the late 1890s through to the early 1900s the flourishing town of Pillinger was located in Kelly Basin. Reindeer Lodge has been fashioned around an old railway carriage, a relic from the North Lyell Company’s railway. Extensions and additions to the hut have rendered it a reasonably large and roomy hut – a feature being the large open fireplace.
